News letter for July 2010

2010-2011 school year is approaching and we are preparring.
*Our 2010-2011 curriculm starts August 23rd.*

Infant room news Our babies are moving and growing up fast.
We would like to take this time to welcome all of our new babies.

                   



1's and 2's news - Mrs. Sandra and Mrs. Amy are done cooling  pool day, thank you parents for your support.  Please bring home your child's bathing suit, sunblock, towel and a change of clothes. Also please make sure your change of clothing with weather appropriate. No Crocs or open toed shoes.

2's and 3's news - Mrs. Jenn's class is getting ready for the new school year and everyone is starting to get settled. Our new teacher will be starting August 23rd since Mrs. Megan is preparring to attend school and will be only part time. Please make sure you check out the rockin Two's news letter Mrs. Jenn has posted in the classroom. Also, the Summer time project sheet is posted. If you have any questions please let Mrs. Jenn know.

   

3's and 4's - Mrs.Christa has the Summer project sheet posted in the classroom for viewing.  Our Summer time fun is here, many crafts and projects are on the way.  Parents please check the conduition of your child's mat to see if it needs replaced, thank you in advance.
 
4's and 5's - We are learning about Summer time and taking a bit of a break until the new school year approaches and our classrooms get settled. However we are still doing learning sheets so please check your child's folder every day.  

Parents night out will take place until August 20th.
If you are interested in parent’s night out please sign up in the front office on the signup sheet. There is a $15.00 fee for Parents night out, this can be paid that the time of your weekly tuition if you would like or the day of Parent’s night out. We must have a minimum of 10 children to make this program successful, thank you for your support.
Dinner and a snack will be served for each child and they will have a movie and games for entertainment. Pajamas are welcome!!!



If you would like to go home and then bring your child back at 6:30pm that will be fine or you can pick your child up before 10pm. 

Tuition payments

All payments are due the Monday that care is given. If payment is not received by Tuesday morning at 8:00am your payment is consider late and a $20.00 late fee is added to the account each day payment is not received, exp. Tuesday no payment a $20.00 fee is added, Wednesday no payment late fee will be $40.00, Thursday no payment, late fee is $60.00 and if no payment is received by Friday your code will be removed from the door keypad until payment is received. 

Each family is required to pay the weekly fee whenever the center is open, whether or not the child is in attendance or out on vacation. This weekly fee ensures that the child's spot is held for him/her. Drop-in care is not offered. *Whenever the center is closed due to weather closers or holidays you are still required to pay the full week of tuition.* Each full year tuition is paid a family accrues two weeks vacation while the center is open at one-half the weekly fee. A two-week written notice of this vacation period is required. If no notice or less than two weeks notice is given, the full weekly fee will be charged. During these two weeks you may choose to bring your child(ren) up to two days or not at all.

NO PARENT, IS TO HOLD THE DOOR FOR ANY PARENT!! 
 

Camera monitoring payment is due July 1st.
(On line monitoring is $25.00 a month with a 1 year contract.)

Who are we and what do we do at Palmetto Child Care?

   Mrs. Megan D. is the owner of Palmetto Child Care.  Megan is not just the owner, she fills in areas from time to time when needed and makes sure daily operation is running smooth.  Megan has been in child care for 9 years and has two children of her own.  Megan is CPR certified, has 5 hours of DSS required classes, has passed all DSS requirements and is eager to work with every child! 

  Mrs. Sharon is the director of Palmetto Child Care.  Sharon over sees staff, addresses any parent issues, handles daily task and make sure Palmetto Child Care is not just a great place to bring your child, it is a great place to be employed.  Mrs. Sharon has over 20 years experience in child care, is CPR certified, and has passed all DSS requirements.  Mrs. Sharon goes from room to room to make sure everything is going smooth. 

   Miss. Kristen is our center's assistant and closer, Kristen assists in all classrooms, most of the time she can be located in the 2's & 3's helping with lesson plans, helping creativity come to life, and showing her spunk.  With over 1 year experience in childcare, all her DSS requirements are meet, there is no job to small. 

 Mrs. Jenn is our lead teacher for our 2's class room.  Mrs. Jenn has meet all DSS requirements and enjoys working with the twos.  Mrs. Jenn has worked with small child several years. 

  Mrs. Christa is our 3's and 4 teacher.  In this class there is so much to learn and Miss. Christa puts a lot of effort in different types of learning.  Mrs. Christa has all DSS requirements passed. 

 Mrs. Ashley is our lead infant teacher.  You could not ask for a better person to be with your infant.  Ashley has over a year experience in child care, has been to school for nursing, is CPR certified, has all her DSS requirements, two child of her own.  Not only will your baby be happy here, so are hers. 

 Miss. Sandra is our lead 1's and 2's teacher.  Miss. Sandra is not just the lead 1's & 2's teacher, you may see Sandra throughout the center assisting as a director and training new employees in any of the classrooms.   Miss. Sandra has over 7 years exp. in child care, has two children of her own, has passed all DSS requirements and is CPR certified.  In Mrs. Sandra's class your child will receive the early development he/she needs. 

 Mrs. Amy is our assistant 1's and 2's teacher.  Mrs. Amy assists Sandra is crafts, lesson plans and projects.  Amy has years of child care exp., two children of her own, and has passed all DSS requirments.

Mrs. Denise is our 4's & 5's teacher.  Mrs. Denise has several years of child care exp. and in management. All of her DSS requirments have been meet.  With three grown children of her own Mrs. Denise has one on one experiance in every age group.
